OHC 16U Team Wins USA Hockey National Championship
After 4 short years, our 16U team have WON USA Hockey's National Championship. Led by coaches John Mitchell, Jesse Predhomme, and Kyle Ostrow, this special group of boys have done what nobody has done in Colorado in over 10 years.
In the finals, OHC found themselves head to head with the #1 ranked team in the Nation, St. Louis Blues. The Blues had an amazing season, and by all accounts was the favored team.
OHC found themselves down 2-0 in the third period, with less than 9 minutes left on the clock. OHC player Brock Stevenson buried a goal, cutting the lead in half. Shortly thereafter, Colton Lien scored tying the game at 2-2. That tie led the game into a sudden death overtime. With only a few minutes left in OT, Jackson Woodward scored the OT winner, helping to secure OHC's first ever National Championship!!
We couldn't be more proud of the coaches, players and families that put in all the work, passion and heart to make moments like this happen.
